Both the individual and the country pay attention to psychological security/insecurity, cause they play an important role to individual’s physical and mental health and social harmonious and stable development. State and the party have issued a series of policies to enhance citizens’ psychological security, reduce psychological insecurity. Researchers often put the psychological security/insecurity and attachment together, and considered that the secure attachment individuals are characterized with higher level of psychological security and lower level of psychological insecurity, whereas unsecure attachment individuals are characterized with lower level of psychological security and higher level of psychological insecurity, therefore, they are easily confused. To confirm the relationship between psychological security/insecurity and attachment, specify the respective related research, effectively decrease insecurity and enhance security in practice, present study applied questionnaire and situational experiment methods to conduct a survey on 957 students to research the relationship between psychological security/insecurity and attachment in terms of content structure, function, and produce process, the results as follows:(1) The fittin gindex of one-factor model of psycholo gical security and attachment( c 2/df=15.45,RMSEA=0.13)and psychological insecurity and attachment( c 2/df=13.64,RMSEA=0.12)are poor. The fitting index of multi-factor model of psychological security and attachment( c2/df=8.49,RMSEA=0.093)and psychological insecurity and attachment( c2/df=9.43,RMSEA=0.099)are mediocre fit. Using chi-square test to compare the one-factor modeal and the multi-factor model, the result indicates the multi-factor model of the psychologyical secure and attachment is better than one-factor modeal(Δ c 2=28508.76, dfΔc2=4, p<0.001); the multi-factor model of the psychologyical insecure and attachment is better than o n e-fact ormodeal Δ c 2=2 8 5 8 0. 0 6, d fΔc2=3, p <0. 0 0 1). P sychological security/insecurity and attachment are different factors, and they are independent of each other in content structure.(2) The analysis of variance, regression analysis and the test of mediator indicate that psychological security partially mediates the relationship between attachment avoidance and mental health(Sobel’s z=-5.264,p<0.001), attachment anxiety and mental health(Sobel’s z=-3.915,p<0.001); psychological insecurity partially mediates the relationship between attachment anxiety and mental health(Sobel’s z=-5.550,p<0.001); psychological security partially mediates the relationship between attachment avoidance and interpersonal trust(Sobel’s z=1.979,p<0.05), attachment anxiety and interpersonal trust(Sobel’s z=2.011,p<0.05). Psychological security/insecurity an datt achm enthave different in flu ence on mental health and interpersonal trust.(3) Independent t test shows that there are differences between attachment priming group and neutral priming group(t=5.19, p<0.001), and in the general sense of safety(t=4.68, p<0.001), sense of peace(t=5.24, p<0.001), sense of relief(t=4.46, p<0.001), experiment group scored significantly higher than control group. Psychological insecure activates attachment-system, then the individual adopt a series of attachment strategies to enhance psychological secure, Therefore, attachment can be regarded as an effective strategy to maintain psychological security. Psychological security/ insecurity and attachment are interdependent in produce process.
