| Alexander Nikolaievich Skryabin is a famous composer and pianist of Russia as well as one of the most influential composers at the transition of the 19th century to the 20th century and he made indelible contribution to development of music of Russia and even the whole west. He created a lot of piano etudes, sonata, prelude, mazurka, symphony, symphonic poem, fantasia and concerto, from which we can find his main creation in fields of piano and orchestral music.10 piano sonatas were created in the short life of Skryabin.Piano Sonata No.3 was composed in 1898, the transition period from Romantic music of Europe to modern and contemporary music and the stage for gradual disintegration of major and minor music system in classicism period and the stage for building new tonality and harmonic thought. With Piano Sonata No.3 of Skryabin as research object, this paper analyzed life of Skryabin, music creation concepts, unique creation techniques and harmonic technique in Piano Sonata No.3 and explored how can Skryabin inherit traditions, seek for changes stably and create new ones continuously among his early music works.This paper is divided into four chapters:chapter 1 briefly stated life of Skryabin, division of his creation period and creation background of Piano Sonata No.3. Chapter 2 introduced application of individualized creation techniques of Piano Sonata No.3 in three aspects:musical form structure, rhythm and meter, and melody. Chapter 3 studied harmonic technique of Piano Sonata No.3 comprehensively in three aspects:modal tonality, chord structure and harmony.
