The author takes the keynote speech at the 2015 Mobile Finance International Summit of Dr. Li Yaodong, chief research officer of 01 Finance, as the material to conduct this simulated consecutive interpreting practice, and summarizes coping strategies for Chinese-English consecutive interpreting(CI) difficulties in such Internet finance speeches by means of analyzing this interpreting practice.The thesis comprises of five parts. Introduction part states writing purpose and gives an outline of the thesis. Chapter one describes task background and characteristics and introduces preparing and simulated CI process. Chapter two analyzes three difficulties arising in this task:(1) terminology including proper nouns, newly coined phrases and professional usage;(2) figure interpreting featuring intertwined numbers and years as well as frequent expressions of multiples;(3) massive professional contents increasing the burden of memorizing which affects interpreting quality. Chapter three elaborates coping strategies specific to the above difficulties:(1) adopting fuzzy interpretation to convey the core meaning thus to achieve overall communication effect;(2)using transliteration and retaining the form of Pinyin;(3) full preparations for English numerical expressions including totality, elevation and reduction, multiple and fuzzy prepositions;(4) resorting to logical, clear and legible note-taking;(5) applying top-down processing principle in memorizing;(6) conducting logical analysis so as to realize logicalization of information. Conclusion part reviews the accomplishments and puts forward deficiencies and inspiration based on the thesis.
