Analyzing Of Line Use In Liu Wenxi Lnkand Real Istic Fijure Painting

Chinese painting is different from western painting, and it is critical to attach it to the calligraphy. Chinese painting has developed the language system based on the line. The line is the main methods in the figure painting. However, the contradictory relationship between the calligraphy and the shaping has a great effect on the development of Chinese figure painting.“Calligraphy and painting as one”and “writing leading to painting ” have been accepted as the artistic standard of traditional Chinese painting in all dynasties. Although it was effected by western conception and made some changes after the People Republic of China was founded, Chinese painting has kept this the artistic standard. On this point, "Xu Jiang system" is a classic example to illustrate it. In the paper, the works of Mr Liu Wenxi can also prove the idea.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part studies the line types of the Chinese ink – figure paintings of Mr Liu Wenxi’s works. The line differences of the between Chinese and western paintings have been found by comparing painting methods of many paintings and summarized Mr liu’s characteristic of the figure painting line in different stages. The second part analyzes the relationship from generation to generation in Mr liu’s the Chinese ink – figure paintings from four aspects by comparing the works. The third part states the changes and the value in his works from the process and characteristics of his painting and the social influence and the value. The forth part demonstrates the experiences in painting from Mr liu’s methods. Therefore, the effect and the enlightenment from Mr liu’s line types of the Chinese ink – figure paintings have been analyzed in the graduation design.
