With the national attention to the occupational education, some measures are taken. For example, the implementation of free education and the national policy. All of these measures bring the new opportunities to the occupational education. Secondary vocational education, as the main power of the occupational education, it is also facing lots of problems when the new opportunity comes. Among these problems, the mental health of the students is the most important problem. It is reported that there are many students in society. But some parts of them are coming from the secondary vocational school. It seems that the students who are from vocational school are all dropping out from the high school. They are not willing to learn and don’t like the major which they study in. some students even think that the future is uncertain and lack of beliefs and pursuits. Even worse, they have a strong sense of inferiority and a fear when facing the future of the talent market and job hunting. More importantly, the students receive lots of prejudices from the society which have caused their mental health worse. If students not get rid of the influence of the negative attitude, they will difficult to adapt to college study and the school life. At the same time, it will also affect their future work and career.In order to fully understand the mental health status of students in secondary vocational schools and take some effectively measures such as the mental health counseling, we first carried out a survey on mental health of the students in secondary vocational schools. We are randomly selected from 9 classes(3 class each grade) which have 456 students(including 238 boys and 218 girls), including various professional schools(each one class) in Guang Yuan city occupational school. For this sample, we will use MHT to research the basic situation of their mental health. The results show that the part of the students in secondary vocational schools have certain mental health problems, such as learning anxiety, the tendency of remorse and allergic and impulsive. These mental health problems of students are significantly higher than the proportion of students who have mental health problems such as anxiety, loneliness, physical symptoms, and terror.We will do some experimental research which would use the way of mental health counseling to the students. Through this way, the real effect of mental health counseling will get a conclusion which is really good for the mental health of the students. Experimental to Guang Yuan City vocational school in 386 students as subjects, a mental health counseling before the pretest, to carry out 8 weeks of "self acceptance, healthy growing " mental health counseling immediately after the post test 1, and then carry out 8 weeks of "harmonious relations, happy learning" mental health counseling immediately after the post test 2, collected three times to measure the fraction and contrast, explore the effect of the mental health counseling of secondary vocational school students. The results are shown as follows:1. After the eight weeks of mental health counseling which named "self acceptance, the amount of the students who have the tendencies of remorse and allergic and impulsive are lower than before. In other words, this counseling has a great effect on these students.2. After the eight weeks of mental health counseling which named "harmonious relations, happy learning", the amount of the students who have the anxious of learning and interpersonal relationship are lower than before. In other words, this counseling has a great effect on these students.
