From the perspective of the National Strategy, Nicholas John Spykman discusses the relationship between the margins and between the world powers in his margins theory. Edge is not only the place which land powers and sea powers struggle for hegemony in the global competition, and their own political pattern will also affect the international political situation and relations between big powers. For the edge of the peninsula, especially the Korean peninsula and Europe peninsula which are located in eastern and western ends of the Eurasian continent, this effect will be more obvious. Korean peninsula which belongs to the geographical center of Northeast Asia has always been the focus of great power strategy game. This fact is not only embodies the contest between maritime power and land power, and unity or division of the peninsula itself also affects the nerves of other countries in the region. Powers on the Korean Peninsula dominance and influence are the central element of international politics in every variation of Northeast Asia geopolitical pattern. There has been no war after the Korean War in Northeast Asia. However, the Korean peninsula is still the international political hot spots and powers’interaction has never slowed down surrounding the peninsula.Strategic status of the Korean Peninsula has been recognized. But the impact of the evolution of geographical factors on the Korean peninsula has not been fully concerned. Geography is the premise and background of geopolitical theory. The shape, coastal quality, passageway to sea and arrow neck position of the Korean Peninsula are relatively stable natural elements which Northeast Asia country face, also restricted the evolution of the geopolitical landscape in some extent,China is a close neighbor of the Korean Peninsula. So any incidents surrounding the peninsula will inevitably have an impact on China. The influence of Korean peninsula’ geographical factors on Northeast Asia geopolitics and the historical experience of the evolution of Northeast Asian geopolitical pattern has an important reference significance for China to achieve security interests in Northeast Asia, which provides the right strategic point for China’s Northeast Asia foreign policy. China has to thoroughly implement the surrounding and big power diplomacy, insist on the maintenance of peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, adhere to national defense strategy of active defense, strengthen the capacity of regional preventing in Yellow Sea and the East China Sea, and coastal defense capability in North-east Asia sea region to cope with the negative geopolitical impact of the United States, Japan and other countries.
