Li Yunfu’s twenty categories is a relatively scientific theory. "General Standardized Chinese Characters Table" is the most authoritative standard Chinese characters table currently. Using the theory analysis the table received 8105 characters component function and configuration mode, has high theoretical value and practical significance. In terms of component, phonetic, symbol and semantic components are dominant, the proportion of pictographic and mark component are very few in each degree. As the decline of Chinese characters’ usage, the proportion of pictographic, semantic, mark and symbol component reduce and phonetic component increase gradually. On the number of constituent words, semantic, phonetic and symbol component structure words more. The total amount of semantic component is less but efficient, the number of symbol component is large but the utilization is low. Pictographic and mark components are rarely involved in structure. In terms of configuration mode, an interactive relationship exhibits between the frequency of Chinese characters’ using and configuration mode, the higher the frequency modern Chinese characters using, the stronger the signifying trend. Conversely, the semantic and phonetic trend is stronger. The configuration mode varies as the table is classified by word usage, Single-component character occupies a small proportion, composition of semantic and phonetic components are dominant and optimal. The configuration system of General Standardized Chinese characters presents three characteristics: Meaning property is stronger, the number of phonetic component is large, symbol component accounts for a large proportion.
