Romantic relationship is the relationships between lovers(Liu,Mao,2011). Implicit self-esteem is a primitive, unconscious, automatic, they formed in the early individuals for their own self-evaluation of the whole(Bosson, Swann, & Pennebaker, 2000; Koole, Dijksterhuis, &van,2001). Social comparison refers to the lack of objective evaluation criteria when the surrounding is, by comparing an individual to obtain a social phenomenon of self-evaluation information(Festinger,1954) with others. Daily life of social comparison is often the spontaneous formation of the uplink comparative information typically reduces the level of individual self-evaluation, and comparative information will enhance the downlink self-evaluation of the level of the individual(Heike,2010). This paper summarizes previous studies, and explore the impact of upstream and downstream compare comparison between lovers spontaneous individual self-assessment on this basis, whether the task dependencies which will play a role in the impact, as well as between lovers spontaneous social comparison with explicit social comparison effects of individual self-evaluation of whether there are differences.In this study, the state of love in college students as research subjects, three-part experimental research. Research will explore a spontaneous social comparison on self-evaluation,and the impact if there are gender differences between lovers. 3 study(social comparison:upward social comparison / downward social comparison / control group) × 2(Gender: male /female) between the two groups experimental design.
