In this paper, taking the image of XueBaochai as examples, we studied the humanistic social concept of Hasbao and Wangxilian,Redologists in the Qing Dynasty,by comparison. Hasbao and Wangxilian are characters of the same historical stage.Both of them are intellectuals in feudal society and borned with highly placed parentage,but the two of them view the image of Xue Baochai in starkly different terms. By contrasting the different points of view of Xue Baochai’s image,we demonstrated that Hasbao was a Redologists not only with advanced ideas, but had played a role that cannot be ignored to the development of Redology. He got along famously with Wangxilian,who is one of the the three commentaries of Dream of Red Mansions.At the same time,we also summarized Hasbao’s social thought and artistic achievement.This paper consists of introduction, body and conclusion.In the introduction,we briefly introduced the family background and life experience of Hasibao and Wang Xilian;The first chapter summarized Hasbao’s point of view to the image of Xue Baochai; The second chapter summarized Wang Xilian’s point of view to the image of Xue Baochai;In the third chapter,taking their analysis of Xue Baochai’s image as examples, we analyzed and summarized the point of view of Hasibao and WangXilian to the feudal morals and feudal marriage, which further demonstrated that Hasbao is a feudal intellectuals with advanced ideas.
