Research On The Form Of Literary Value Under Industrial Trend

The marginalization of literature has been a hot topic at least from the end of the last century and we can’t ignore this fact when we think about the contemporary literature. In order to get out of the marginalization of literature,some scholars proposed that literature industrialization should be the trend of the contemporary literature.In fact, literature industrialization should not be seen as an emergency measure.If it becomes a reality,literary value will have a major change on writing,literature communication and literary criticism.Inspired by Western Marxism theory of art production views,especially cultural critical theory,this paper selects four dimensions to explain what is the state of literature value in industrial age,namely:writer,text, reader and media. Through the analysis of the characteristics of literary writing, literary creation, literary acceptance and literary evaluation in the process of literature industrialization, the state of the literature value can be showed. Because literature industrialization must rely on the mass media and this has changed the subject of traditional literary evaluation.Therefore, We take it as the first object of study.Literary value have changed in industrial age.This is mainly manifested in:Literature is farther and farther away form the spirit of art.This paper analyzes the problem from four aspects:First of all, literature industrialization depends on the mass media to set standard. This can be through the content of expression, industrial pattern and literary discourse to explain. Secondly, with the trend of industrialization, the writing is leaded by the outside principle other than the principle of self discipline.The "none" significance of writing for the writer is substituted by material benefits under the action of "all".The creation of literary texts, under the guidance of industrialization, transforms the pursuit of cultural and symbolic capital into economic profit goals and results in the spirit of literary pioneer lost. Third, the analysis of the industry text aesthetic form. Text patterns can be summarized as information text, feeling excessive text and advertising text. Through the analysis of the aesthetic dimension and the expression of the meaning, we think they are a kind of aesthetic distortion and illusory text.This is mainly due to the need of making value-added industries.Finally, readers analysis. Readers is mainly composed by type reader, image reader and active audience.In general, the audience does not care about what is the true value of literature and aesthetic pursuit is replaced by entertainment.Judging form four main aspects discussed above, the paper believes that the state of literature value is a reflection of current social values. With the coming of consumer society, literature marginalization will further deepen and realizing literary value remains to be prudently explored.
