A Study On Adverbs In Chang Sheng Dian

Chang Sheng Dian is a very important works in late ming and early qing, its language to some extent reflects the development of that era Chinese vocabulary evolution.The late Ming and early Qing as an important stage of development of modern Chinese adverb at the same time, there has been both the ancient adverbs and modern newborn adverbs, to study the Chinese adverb system during this period can help us realize the evolution of some adverb from modern Chinese to contemporary Chinese, and know the regulation of the modern Chinese adverb system itself. In this paper,adverbs in the Chang Sheng Dian as the investigated objects,through listing adverbs of the text, it is necessary to explain the cases of grammatical meaning and the syntactic function of some adverb; At the same time, by synchronic comparison and diachronic research of adverbs in the text, to sums up using features of adverbs about the text.This paper is divided into four parts. The first chapter, the author gives a brief description about the basic situation of Chang Sheng Dian and its current research status.And then make a brief statement about the selected version and research methods.The definitions and classifications of adverb are also expressed briefly.The second chapter, through the exhaustive search, we find out all adverbs in the text and divided it into six categories:(1) the degree adverb; (2) the scope adverb; (3) the time adverb; (4) the modal adverb; (5) the negative adverb; (6) the modal adverb.We make a statistics of various types of text adverb cases, refer to "Ancient Chinese Function Words Dictionary"(《古汉语虚词词典》)and"Shi Ci Qu Yu Ci Hui Shi"(《诗词曲语辞汇释》)by Zhang and other reference books,make the necessary explanations about grammatical meaning of some adverbs, combined with previous research, formed a relatively complete system of special book adverbs.The third chapter,using the method of synchronic comparison and diachronic study, we compare the use of adverbs in the text of Chang Sheng Dian with the adverb usage of Tao Hua Shan,which is accomplished at the same period.to summarize some of the similarities and differences between the two books about the use of adverb. And then,we can see that the adverbs in the text of Chang Sheng Dian are diverse,active,biased in favor of multi-syllable, colloquial stronger. Meanwhile, refer to "Hanyu Da Zidian",we make a statistics of the adverbs in the text of Chang Sheng Dian by installments to explore the succession and development of the period of ancient and middle Chinese.The fourth chapter, conclusion. Make a conclusion about features of text adverbs used. We find that the text adverbs system is a combination of ancient Chinese adverbs and modern Chinese adverbs.Time adverbs is most, negative adverbs is least.Monosyllabic adverb and polysyllabic adverbs accounted for basically the same.Compared with the period of middle Chinese adverb, double-syllable adverbs got rapid progress, these are conformed with the characteristics of the development of modern Chinese adverbs. The adverb of the text is given priority to a singlesyllable in use, the spelling of some adverbs has not yet been fixed.The different sequences of adverbs and conversion of adverbs are exist extensively.It is normal in the history of Chinese vocabulary development.From the vertical point of view, Chang Sheng Dian produced in the occasion of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, which is a important period for the development of Chinese function words, the evolution of adverb conforms to the development process of the whole language. In general, Chang Sheng Dian as high peaks of the development of the legend in the Qing dynasty, the using of the language art has been very mature, it has a certain theoretical significance and reference value to research the development of the function words in the Ming and Qing dynasties, the history of Chinese grammar construction. At the same time, the Ming and Qing dynasties is an important stage in the development of dialects adverbs, the text of Chang Sheng Dian with the characteristic of strong Wu Fangyan dialect adverbs has a high corpus value for us to study the language in the Ming and Qing dynasties. However, the study of linguistics about Chang Sheng Dian also exist many blank, still need language scholars continue to work hard.
