The Mongolia is one of the cross-border ethnic in Chinese, in the collision and fusion of cultures, their music presents the diversity and individuality. Because of the special geograph and history, Torghut Mongolians who Iive in Xinjiang China inherited the Mongolian traditional music, and have a distinctive ethnic features at the same time.This paper focus on the Urtin Duu of Torghut Mongolians in Xinjiang,to disscuss the music’s common and personality, explain historical connotation and cultural identity of Torghut Mongolians, it will combined the historical and oral text by deep interview and record through the field.This paper correspond the Urtin Duu and history base on combing the history of Torghut Mongolians. Then talk about the auther’s impression during the fieldwork and the definition of insiders for the Urtin Duu of Torghut Mongolians in Xinjiang.The third chapter of the paper is analysis categories and music, to explored the Torghut Mongolians’ commonness and individuality of expression in the Urtin Duu.Finally, it back to the context of Urtin Duu in Xinjiang, focus on the cultural heritage under the tradition and change.As a special oral text, Urtin Duu is a “living” history existing in the public memory, it demonstrates the special "historical mentality" of ethnic group. While inherited the common features of the Mongolian, it presenting the difference to us,and continues to record the cultural identity of Torgut Mongolians.
