The Importance Of Double Bass Chamber Music Ensemble Training

The author has a basic understanding of double bass performance art through undergraduate and graduate study on professional knowledge system of double bass,which include the basic training on double bass, the comparison between Chinese and foreign works, chamber music ensemble and the clips of symphonies.This master’s graduation concert is the author’s summary report for seven-year professional study, which omni-directionally shows the author’s basic playing skills,music expression ability, music language expression ability, and cooperation and collaboration capabilities in chamber music. Among them, what the most important part for a double bass player, and the author understand and experience deeply most is the double bass chamber music performance.The works of chamber music ensemble involve more extensive knowledge than that of solo, and its music texture is more complex, more collaborative and has richer music expression. According to the author’s learning and understanding, the reason why chamber music ensemble is important is that it trained players three basic capabilities: firstly, the unity of basic technology; secondly, the particularity of music language; thirdly, the cooperativeness music performance. These three aspects constitute the three pivots of chamber music performance.The author is to make a comprehensive summary of seven-year study during undergraduate and graduate period in the form of graduation concert, which is review of technical training, music training and cooperation training, and also the concrete show of stage practical experience. And the author hopes to lay a solid foundation for future study and work through experience in this concert.
