| This thesis is a theoretical review of Schubert’s Trout quintet,one piece of chamber music performed in my graduation concert,as well as an analysis of the instrumental performance skills utilized in this work.The graduation concert not only exhibited my achievements in the past three years in mastering double bass,but also inspired my reflections on music.Schubert’s Trout quintet is an outstanding ensemble and double bass plays the roles of not only creating the atmosphere and musical images,but also supporting the musical development with its stable bass voice.This article conducts a case study of Trout quintet and includes three chapters.The first chapter elaborates on the development of double bass in chamber music.The second chapter,centered on the performance of Trout quintet,analyses its background,the application of performance skills of double bass,and the essential points in cooperation of voices.The third chapter discusses the importance of double bass in ensemble voices. |
