Rely on the many years performing experiences in the China National Broadcast Orchestra, the one of the most famous orchestra in China. The author has been keep studying on the many different skills and features of Pipa performing not only in the traditional way and also in modern way which started to be used in Chinese orchestral music. By studying on the musical scores in details, to show many different Pipa skills and styles when performing in the plucked string music and also in the orchestra. The thesis is focusing on the study of how to use different Pipa skills to coordinate with the orchestra to make a better harmony, and also sharing many advices to Pipa players when playing different styles.This study also offered some suggestions and knowledge to those young Pipa performers who will or plan to join in a professional orchestra or band. The author believe Pipa is as a traditional Chinese musical instrument, should be making better use of in many different styles, fully demonstrate its features, while remaining its unique and making better coordinate within the orchestra.
