Adolescence is a transitional period to grow mature both in psychology and physiology, during which physiological development tends to be earlier than psychological development. Recently, the problems of premarital sex, early pregnancy, sexual crimes and AIDS infection about teenagers are sharply increasing.These issues have bad consequences on study and life of the people involved, and some of them even give up their own life or ruin the lives of others in order to protect themselves from punishment of the law. So we can conclude that it is quite necessary to research on psychosexual health development of middle school students, and provides some advice to guide them through the period of rapid changes both in psychology and physiology. In a word, psychosexual health and school sexual health education is not only an important research topic of school psychology, but also an essential part in school quality education.Firstly, the self-designed questionnaire about “school sexual health education” was used to learn about the implementation of school sexual health education, educational effects and students’ needs. This study secondly investigated the psychosexual health development characteristics of middle school students and its influences by the use of “puberty psychosexual health scale ”. Thirdly, experiment research was taken to check the changes of students’ psychosexual health after school teaching program.The experiment class has been given sexual health intervention for seven times altogether in the study, so as to explore the relationship between students’ psychosexual health and school sexual health education. At last,through the evaluation form to collect students’ opinions about school sexual health education.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Middle schools gradually pay more attention to sexual health education, and launch multiple activities. But with limited teaching time and professional teachers shortage, school sexual health education can’t meet the various needs of students, they have different comments on it.(2)The present effect of school sexual health education shows that students’ Sexual self-protection consciousness is not enough. Besides, they have an open sexual idea and intimate interaction behavior with the opposite sex. Meanwhile, a comprehensive and systematic sexual health education in school is highly needed for students.(3)Psychosexual health of middle school students is at medium level of the whole. In all factors, the average scores of sexual knowledge is the lowest, whereas self-adaption has the highest average score. It shows that students are familiar with their own gender identity and physiological changes, but lack the knowledge of contraceptive, sexually transmitted diseases and sexual psychology, etc..(4)The middle school students from different grades have a signiicant difference in total scale, Sexual cognition subscales, Sexual values subscales, include sexual knowledge, sexual idea, sexual attitude and self-contol four factors. Different gender has a signiicant difference in total scale, Sexual cognition subscales, Sexual adaptation subscales. Besides, different origin,school type,single-child or not,and parents’ cultural level has a signiicant difference in total scale, Sexual cognition subscales, Sexual values subscales, Sexual adaptation subscales.(5)Sexual health teaching program has obvious effect on improving students’ psychosexual health, and School sexual health education is an effective intervention method and deeply liked by student.
