The new media era, brings the development of China’s TV series, only on creatio n level but also on production level. Besides bringing opportunities,it also fore es the Chinese television to face multiple challenges, those from its own developmen t bottlenecks as well as those by influence of surrounding industries’environment.Based on the 58 years’development of drama itself from 1958 to 2016,on one h and, certain patterns have been formed that TV series have respective characteristic s and patterns, on the other hand, it is also the mature drama modeled creation, to a ce rtain extent, that eliminates stylized and personalized TV series; TV series, from c reation to the stage of being appreciated by the audience, have formed a mature ind ustrial chain.Coming out along with the Internet age, video broadcast mode had some impac t to television, the malignant competition between broadcast and television network br oadcast affected the TV spread market; China’s movie market, categorized as audio a nd visual arts like TV series,is prospering thanks to its strengths, introducing a ba tch of new audience, whose development is strong; Movies are also attracting part of the original TV audience. The development of high conceptualization and high te chnology in movies brings opportunities to TV series. However, TV audience are affected at the same time.This article mainly focuses on multiple challenges which Chinese TV face duri ng the process of development, in the above several aspects, and puts forward the co rresponding strategies to cope with these challenges in conclusion.
