Thailand has a good traditional Chinese education and she is one of the first countries that start Chinese education. Along with the continuous development of Chinese and Chinese culture promotion in Thailand, Thailand launched a new round of upsurge of Chinese learning. It is also worth noting that Chinese volunteer teacher group of Hanban gain the collective award of’2015 Fourth" China Light--the promotion of Chinese culture and person of the year". The volunteer teacher Shi Jiajun who teaches at The Chinese School at Thailand Yala Betong city on behalf of the Thailand volunteer teachers to participate in the awards. It reflects the achievements of Chinese promotion and it is the joint efforts of all workers, in Chinese teaching and Chinese culture promotion.However, in this situation, after several years of efforts, how about the cultural identity of university students in Thailand? Research on second language acquisition of Lambert and Gardner shows that successful language learners have a strong sense of identity of the target language and show stronger interest in the target language and culture. Language is the carrier of culture, they have mutual influence on each other. Chinese learners’cultural identity directly affects their Chinese learning. The ultimate goal of Chinese international promotion work is to promote Chinese learners’ acceptance and recognition of Chinese culture. Then, the factors such as students’ gender, age, personality, language background and professional background influence their cultural identity or not? Through the investigation, we can also find that Cultural identity of students with different gender, age, personality; language background and professional background are of uneven level. Then we can analyze the main influencing factors of cultural identity. This research mainly adopts the methods of literature research and qualitative research. Firstly we use the literature analysis method, making a comprehensive research of cultural identity research literature in sociology, psychology and other fields. With reference to intercultural communication, communication and other related work we lay the theoretical foundation for this study. Secondly, work out the "cultural identity scale", give out 200 questionnaires in four universities at phitsanulok to investigate the cultural identity of Chinese learners and carry out statistical analysis for the data of the questionnaires by adopting SPSS 19.0 statistical software. Finally, we interview Chinese five teachers in Thailand and five Thailand University Chinese language learners make sure the accuracy of the results.The results show that:(1) the Chinese cultural identity Thailand University learners of is in the medium level, that reflects these learners take a relatively positive attitude upon Chinese culture.(2) In the eight dimensions of Chinese cultural identity,students show the strongest identity on the dimension of "language and culture". In these dimensions, the standard deviation of "folk culture "is the largest, indicating that students show the largest fluctuation in this dimension. (3)Among related factors, the learning age, language background and professional background have significant influence on learners’cultural identity. Different gender, personality; age and grade are not significantly affected. (4) The learner’s level of cultural identity and learning are positively correlated.the level of cultural identity increases with learning time.(5) Learners’Chinese background shows significant influences on their Chinese cultural identity.the degree of cultural identity between students with Chinese background and students without Chinese background are different, the identity level of Chinese students is higher than non Chinese.(6) Learners’Chinese profession background shows significant influences on their Chinese cultural identity. The professional Chinese learners show higher cultural identity than non professional Chinese learners.
