The Comparative Study On Female Consciousness And Views Of Women Of Zuozhuan And Lienvzhuan

Zuozhuan is the first composed the Chronicles history that is existing and narrative detail,recordding the history of the Spring and Autumn period,touching lots of attractive women.they played a distinctive part in the Spring and Autumn period controlled by men,having influence on the social and political life.As a typical work of women’s biography,Lienvzhuan included women’s events in different social classes from prehistory to midterm of Western Han Dynasty.showing the spirit of women on a large scale.On the basis of Zuozhuan and Lienvzhuan,this article will inspects women’s words and deeds and the author’s view about women,analyzing the female consciousness and female view systematically.The article divided the female consciousness from the perspective of gender,which includes women’s self-assessment and motivation and the social view of women,that is the female view of men. So when comparing the female consciousness in Zuozhuan and Lienvzhuan,we not only attach importance to women’s self-awareness,but pay attention to the author’s view of women.The exordium introduced the origin of selecting the topic,and reviewed the research status of female consciousness in Zuozhuan and Lienvzhuan.Then briefly teased the thinking,methods and innovations of my research.The first chapter mainly focused on the cultural origin of female consciousness in Zuozhuan and Lienvzhuan. On the basis of summarizing the basic characteristics of female consciousness before the Spring and Autumn period,I would combine women’s events in the ancient China myth and Shijing, and analyzed the specific performance of female consciousness from prehistoric period to the western Zhou Dynasty, then revealed the historical inheritance during prehistoric female consciousness, ritual female consciousness in western Zhou Dynasty and the female consciousness in Zuozhuan and Lienvzhuan. Besides, by means of analyzing the social evaluation of women, I would try to uncover the cultural origin of Zuo Qiuming’s and Liu Xiang’s female view.The second chapter would start from female subject, combing the concrete representations and change features of female consciousness from Zuozhuan to Lienvzhuan. By investigating the women’s words and deeds, we can learn that women in two text have Confucian consciousness, political consciousness and self consciousness to pursue the value of life in different degrees. By Comparing the different performance of female consciousness, This article tries to summarize the variation characteristics of female consciousness, then analyzes the causes from social environment and moral codes factors. In the end, From positive and negative aspects, I would simply sum up the influence which the female consciousness in Zuozhuan and Lienvzhuan have on the later women.The third chapter gives priority to patriarchal perspective to research related content of Zuo Qiuming’s and Liu Xiang’s female view. The two author’s view of women is embodied in the text, Through comparative study, we can analyze the similarity of these two author’s female view. Because of the difference of identity,thought and creation, Zuo Qiuming and Liu xiang have different attitudes to women. Besides, This chapter also briefly generalized the effect of Zuo Qiuming’s and Liu Xiang’ s female view on later generations. Under the influence of two author’ s female view, the later men not only give enough attention to the women’s chastity, but bring women to weak position eventually.The forth chapter combed the relationship between Confucian traditional concept of women and Zuo Qiuming’ s and Liu Xiang’ s female view. First of all, both are Confucian scholars influenced by Confucianism inevitably. Zuo Qiuming and Confucius were in contemporary life, and they female view have both similarity and difference. As a famous Confucian scholars, Liu Xiang’ s female view has not beyond the Confucian tradition concept category, Even there is a profound cultural origin relations between both in essence. So we can say that Liu Xiang inherited and carried forward the Confucian traditional concept of women.In conclusion, this article attempts to investigate the female consciousness and female view comprehensively, hoping through comparative study, we can comprehend women’s spirit and life circumstances, and offer help to grasp the development and changes of female consciousness from the pre-Qin period to Han Dynasty.
