A Report On The Translation Of Ion Manipulation Method And Device

This report is based on a translation practice of WIPO PCT patent Ion Manipulation Method and Device, published on October 16, 2014, and there is yet no Chinese version for the patent. This report is based on the translation of the abstract,claims, specification and accompany drawings of the patent. The report consists of four parts. The first part is the description, which gives an outline of the relevant information about the source of the text. The second part is the process of the task,including translation plan, reference books, tools and the selection of translation strategies and etc.. The third part is analysis of translation cases, which is the main body of the report, and it includes lexical and syntactical analysis. For the last part, a summary to the translation practice of Ion Manipulation Method and Device is made and some suggestions are provided for those who expect to participate patent translation by the translator.
