| Abai Road is written by Mokhtar omarkhanovich auaizov who is from Kazakhstan and named as A Dream of Red Mansions and the Encyclopedia in Kazakh. The book won the highest literary award in the Soviet Union and Lenin Literary Prize.It is translated in 116 languages to be published and highly appreciated by the readers and researchers from different parts of the world.Abai Road is based on the most famous poet Abai’s growth and creation. Through the description of Abai’s life, the book represents the conflict between the prairie tribes in the 19 Century and the ethnic customs of Kazakh. Based on the analysis of Kazakh traditional culture in Abai Road, the thesis tries to explain the value and the function in Kazakh culture civilization, and finally reveals various cultural phenomena in the novel which presents the process of social transformation in Kazakhstan.The analysis is addressed in four parts. In the first part includes the selection of the topic, research situation, research approach, and the process of thought. The body part is divided into three parts to analyze the Kazakh traditional culture in Abai Road which is the civil folklore value, the nomad life of Kazakh, philosophical value. In civil folklore value, the thesis studied the marriage customs and Kazakh Arkin Playing and Singing. In nomad life of Kazakh, the thesis categorized traditional clothes, cooking culture and the cultural connotation of Kazakh yurt. In philosophical value, the thesis analyzes the political economy, female position and Ethic Value of Kazakhstan in 19 century. This Paper uses the cross-cultural and interdisciplinary research methods to analysis the Abai Road of cultural interpretation function from the Angle of folklore. At the same time,exploring the folklore and grassland nomadic culture and the influence of time spirit in the Abai Road, can also deepen our understanding of cultural connotation of the novel and provide an optimistic literary value in Kazakh literary studies. |
