As a very famous Italian composer, Gioachino Antonio Rossini takes an important position in the history of the world music opera. In this thesis, the artistic features and the singing style of the vocal divertimento Venice Regatta composed by Rossini is analyzed in depth. This thesis is composed of five chapters. In chapter one,the position of Rossini in the history of music is mentioned and the background of creating the divertimento Venice Regatta is given. In chapter two, the creative features and the artistic features are analyzed, including the harmony and the musical form of Enzon Rita before Regatta, Enzon Rita in Regatta and Enzon Rita after Regatta. The artistic features are discussed mainly in the lyric, the artistry of the language, and the relationship between the rhythm of lyric and the piano accompaniment. In chapter three, different styles of barcarolla are discussed, including the duet Les contes d’Hoffmann and June Barcarolle by Tchaikovsky. In chapter four, the singing speed and styles of this music work covered by different singers are analyzed. In chapter five, combined with the practice of myself singing this music work, the difficulties and emotional changes are analyzed. |
