The Music Analysis Of Rachmaninoff’s 《 Etudes Tableaux》

Development history of of western music is so long, in a trickle, Russia’s music is non-stop rolling just like a single crystal spray from ancient Greek and Roman period until the 20 th century modern music, Among them, Rachmaninoff’s name did not disappear with the history passing, but more shinning. He enjoys great reputation in the history of Russian music too, most of his works are popular involved many field such as piano, vocal music, opera and so on. he created "the Piano Concerto", "piano prelude" and "Etudes Tableaux" in the field of piano, this etude with a picture of beauty is most widely popular in his works. For Russian music from the end of the 19 th to the early of the 20 th century, it can be described as turbulent and talented people, among them, Rachmaninoff can be regarded as a master in music with comprehensive development, he create great achievement in composing, conducting and piano playing, "Etudes-tableaux" is respected by later generations because of its color character, acoustic technique and Russian melody melody.It is known in the music set that has been published, Rachmaninoff created two sets of 《Etudes Tableaux》 totally all his life, his life was peaceful and prosperous during this period of creation,he was on vacation with his wife and two daughters in manor, this work archived because the pleasant ambiance with family inspired his inspiration.Rachmaninoff adopted lots of color harmony techniques, his work was radical innovation and rooted in the fertile soil of Russian national music at the same time.The thesis will be discussed in the following four chapters:the first chapter is the introduction part of this paper, mainly including the research significance of this paper, the research situation at home and abroad and the writing content etc.. The second chapter mainly elaborates the "etudes tableaux" creative background and new breakthrough and the author’s biography. In the third chapter, the work is aimed at the technique of harmony, such as: how to use the traditional harmony and the color harmony, how to make a small amount of the near modern harmony. Through the analysis of the harmonic techniques to describe the analysis of the "etudes tableaux" and the beautiful picture outlined by the author’s notes.The fourth chapter’s analysis focus on the musical structure of "etudes tableaux"(such as the two form and three form). In the two set of "pictures etudes, musical structure three section body occupies a large space, and with the introduction and ending,this kind of musical structure can more render the connotation of music picture and how respected he regard bell complex as.The author hope that comprehend harmonic technique and musical Structure deeply for this work according to analyzing and investigating above content, show Rachmaninoff’s creative thinking through multiple levels of exercise analysis and lay a solid foundation for analyzing and understanding these two set of works.
