At the end of the Tang Dynasty to the Five Dynasties period, the Central region regime changed and under social unrest, during this period, the northern nomadic Khitan tribe began to grow and continue to expand outwards. Since from the Emperor Yelv abaoji (907) ascended to the throne to the Emperor Tianzuo Baoda five year(1125), then Liao Dynasty was destroyed by Jurchens, in the more than 200 years, Khitan forces repeatedly southward expanded and invaded to the Yanyun region, which inhabited by the Han people and even meddling in Central political affairs. Especially in the Central Plains, the Han people constantly trapped in the war and took the initiative way to enter into Khitan activities, especially before the Emperor Yelv abaoji ascended the throne and after to the Emperor Yelv Deguang,16 Yanyun states during this period is the most frequent and a lot of the Han people were under Khitans’ domination. Until the Emperor Sheng Zong and Song Dynasty signed Chanyuan alliance, large-scale war between Song Dynasty and Liao Dynasty was basically stopped, causing by war the capture of northern of the Han people large-scale migration basically end in Liao DynastyFor effective management of production and life difference of Khitan two families, Liao Dynasty carried out "To treat Khitan in Khitan’s rule, to treat the Han people in Hans’ way", which forming a double track system in politics in Liao Dynasty. The most direct performance of this two track system is the Han intellectuals involved in politics and military, expanding its territory, participating in local government and so on, which plays an important role in these areas. Under the policy of "ruled by customs", the Han people who moved into Liao regime was initially placed in the Hans’town, as the Han people increased, then the government began to set up the states and counties and established the South officer system, according to the agricultural customs to manage the Hans affairs, so that those who engaged in farming and stock raising can lived in a harmonious development. To obtain a stable life, the Han people exerted an important influence on Liao Dynasty’s agriculture, handicraft industry, commodity currencies and economic development of material culture, at the same time, an indelible contribution in the spiritual life of KhitanThe Han Chinese of the Central Plains in the northern grassland, in the process of integration with the Khitan people not only accelerated the civilization process of Khitan, but also promoted the grassland agricultural economy development and prosperity, accelerated the leap of the Khitan society, effectively promoted the multi-ethnic blending process and on the development of later minority regime, which had an important historical significance.
