Study Of The Liao, Jin And Yuan Dynasties Northern Ethnic Han Wen Creation

During the Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, the Khitan tribe, Jurchen, and Mongolian governments established in succession. With the inter-ethnic communication and interaction, their Chinese language writing emerged, and became a unique and intergral part of the history of Chinese literature. However, due to the reasons such as shackles of traditional thinking and loss of literature during this period, the Chinese language writing of the north ethnic in the Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties didn't receive deserved attention.Since the ancient time, China had been a country with multi-ethnic co-existence. With collision and blend between the different cultures, a broad, profound and endless cultural system was formed, which attracted the peripheral ethnic group to its side continuously as the mainstream culture in process of historical development in the, the right to and shock and touch the marginal culture and constructed network with the Central Plains Han culture as the focal point. During the Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, exchanges between Khitan tribe, Jurchen, Mongols and the Central Plains achieved a certain level, formed the connecting relationship on facets of economic, political, cultural and kinship ties, which provide a reasonable space for the generates of literature creation. Indeed, in a large historical background, literary development in every different period will be linked to the social context which closely related to people's life. The social attributes of different periods would make kinds of regulations and restrictions to people's verbal communication activities corresponding with their own political interests, which also lead them into an unprecedented sight. During the Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, many factors had direct influence on the literature creation, such as the evolvement of political words, changes of local culture, establishment of education and examinations, and intervention of religion, all of which led the tendency of further development for creation of literature.Based on such direct and indirect interlacement of various literature aspects, the literature creation of northerners achieved continuous development. Although a great number of the works were lost, but we could still indentify the general pictures of the literature creation for Khitan tribe, Jurchen, Mongols during different periods in history, of which there are some classical works and representative literators. These works, which represent Chinese language level in different historical periods and different ethnic groups, are not only signs of cultural exchange between the North and the Central Plains. Moreover, with the development of the times and the change of dynasties, they were all constantly changing on creative subjects, genre, theme, aesthetic sense and literary acceptance, etc, and showed a development trend with certain regularity. At the same time, their emergence and development just to fill the gaps in the literature system of north ethnic groups, and constructed multiple three-dimensional model of literature which consisted by folk literature/writers'literature, oral literature/written literature, ethnic creative writing/Chinese language writing. They fully reflected the literatures' functions of political enlightenment, realism and entertainment, expanded the scope of literary circles, and maked rapid progress for the literature of outer ring of northern part. Besides, the north ethnic literature with honest and heroic nature gave the sluggish mainstream literature world a powerful shock with a fresh vitality, and generated a profound impact on the later peoples.During the Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, the Chinese language writing of the north ethnic group blended expression of Chinese language literature with the bold style of north peoples, reflected the evolution process of conflict, complementarity and integration between the northern nomadic hunting and fishing culture and the Central Plains'farming culture. Therefore, based on the results of current study, we comprehensively use the national psychology, human geography, history, cultural communication and multi-disciplinary approach to totally contemplate the Chinese language writing of north ethnic groups in the Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties. Through the interpretation of construction of cultural space under the cultural fusion, we analyzes the multi-factor that impact their literary development, generalize the overview of Chinese language writing, explore the evolutional law of development process, and then reveal the cultural characteristic caused by the Chinese language writing of north ethnic groups in the Liao, Jin and Yuan Dynasties. It does not only have the significance of academic history, but also can grasp and interpret the integrity of Chinese literature and culture and its internal developmental thread. So, it can be proved that the enrichment and development of national culture are achieved in the "interactive" process of collision, communication and fusion among different cultures.
