China is a multi-ethnic country, and the traditional culture of each ethnic minorities is an important part of the Chinese nation’s splendid culture in five thousand years. In history, due to restrictions of production and transportation and other aspects, the population mobility of minority is very low and the same ethnics mostly live together. Based on the similar lifestyle and common beliefs, the traditional culture of ethnic minorities is rarely affected by the alien culture and is well inherited. However, with the development of society and increasing population mobility, the influence of minority culture in our country is gradually deepened by the mainstream culture and some unique traditional culture of ethnic minorities begins to disappear. As a result, how to protect the diversity of national culture has become an urgent problem to be solved.Under this premise, this paper selects the inland areas inhabited by the Han nationality in Anhui province Dingyuan County Erlong Hui ethnic township for study. Starting from local wedding ceremony with the ritual view of communication, the paper gives a detailed description of wedding ceremony rheological in the past 30 years in Erlong Hui ethnic township, from the heritage of traditional local Hui Muslim Marriage Culture to the change in new era. The famous American communicational scientist James Carey believes that the ceremony is not only convey information, but more importantly is shared, share a common belief, culture and spirit. From the point of view of inheritance and change in wedding ceremony in Erlong Hui ethnic township, we analyse the information carried by each symbol that has the characteristics of the Hui nationality in the ceremony and try to draw the local Muslim understanding of his culture in the ceremony. By understanding and expression of the local Hui Muslim, we can see whether they have national cultural heritage of national self-determination, what’s the role of ceremony in the process of traditional Hui culture and whether ceremony can enhance the local Hui nationality identity. In addition, we explore the media path of minority culture inheritance.The article is divided into four parts, six chapters:The first chapter is the first part, which is the introduction part of the article. This chapter introduces the reason, purpose and significance of the topic, reviews academic books and literature on the topic, refines the ideas and research methods of the article and the understanding of related concepts;The second chapter is the second part, which introduces the cultural background of marriage customs in Erlong Hui ethnic township. This section briefly describes the overview of the Hui, starting from the origin of Muslim names to Muslim religious culture, food culture and clothing culture. We then introduce the Erlong Hui ethnic township, which includes geography, history, population, economy and the ethnic characteristics.The third and fourth chapters are the third part, which is the introduction of wedding ceremony in Erlong Hui ethnic township. The understanding of Hui traditional wedding ceremony by residents are described in detail in the third chapter. We mainly introduce the traditional Muslim marriage view, traditional wedding ceremony and the understanding by local Muslim residents of traditional wedding culture; The fourth chapter is the description of modern Hui wedding ceremony in Erlong Hui ethnic township. According to the analysis of the modern wedding ceremony symbols, We can see local Muslim residents how to express their own national culture. We also analyze the background of the change in wedding ceremony and the effect of ceremony in Hui culture inheritance. At the end of fourth chapter, we find that identity of belief and ethnic identity show a downward trend because more and more Hui people go out for study or work.The fifth and sixth chapters are the fourth part of the article, which are the main part of the article. The fifth chapter analyze the construction of community and identity of the wedding ceremony. Wedding ceremony itself is a kind of communication, based on the same cultural foundation, it constructs a cultural community, in the process of communication, community members shared beliefs and cultural, so wedding ceremony helps community members have a sense of national identity and self-identification. The sixth chapter obtains that ceremony can help build the self-identification and has a positive role in the inheritance of national culture. We also analyze the media transmission path of minority culture, discuss the introduction of mass media in the ceremony communication can also play a role in promoting the minority culture inheritance.
