In China some researchers began with research of pragmatic failures of intercultural nonverbal communication for English learner. However, more and more persons have been devoting to Chinese phonetics, characters and grammar as mandarin is popularized. At present as for teaching of Chinese as a second language, most researchers focus on the research of lingustic elements-phonetics, Chinese character and grammar, while a few are involved in pragmatic behaviors of intercultural nonverbal communication. Therefore, in the paper the questionnaire is designed for students learning Chinese as a second language in China to research pragmatic behaviors of intercultural nonverbal communication, which contain four parts--body language, paralanguage, object language and environmental language.By questionnaire survey, pragmatic failures of Chinese learners with advanced level are not definitely lower than ones with middle level. In other words, linguistic ability cannot decide pragmatic ability. In addition, nonverbal pragmatic behaviors are learned by daily communication. Few get them in the mandarin class.According to results of the survey, nonverbal pragmatic failures are caused by differences in misunderstandings of cognition of pragmatic behaviors, ethnocentrism, and values. As to these reasons, several proposals are put forward to students learning Chinese as a second language. As for teaching of Chinese as a second language, teachers should pay more attention to cultivate pragmatic consciousness and improve the pragmatic ability by contrasts with cultures and applications of ways to nonverbal communication, besides Chinese words, phrases, sentences and grammar so as to achieve successful communication.
