The Study Of Chen Li’s Shujizhuanzuanshu

Shujizhuanzuanshu written by Yuan Dynasty scholar Chen Li, came down and became Chen’s only representative works of Shangshu. This book was created to enrich Caizhuan and was regarded as an essential reference for those who participated in Imperial Examination to understand Caizhuan, which was directly involved in constructing spirit culture and making an extensive and profound influence at that time. This thesis, from the perspective of style and interpretation purpose of Chen Li’s ShujizhuanZuanshu, attitude towards Caizhuan, and its theoretical interpretation of several representative aspects and explores Shujizhuanzuanshu so as to help the readers further understand Chen Li’s Confucian thoughts and the outlook of Confucianism in Yuan Dynasty. This thesis mainly consists of three parts:The first part is an introduction to the style and writing purpose of Shujizhuanzuanshu, which has three sections, respectively discussing its own characteristics and value, style and writing purpose of maintaining the Authenticity of Zhu Xi’s neo-confucianism thoughts.The second part talks about Shujizhuanzuanshu’s attitude towards Caizhuan. This section will attentively analyze Chen Li’s own opinion through Shujizhuanzuanshu and discuss Chen Li’s criticism attitude towards Caizhuan.The third part is to analyze the theoretical interpretation of Shujizhuanzuanshu. Chen Li focused on his research by taking Zhu Xi’s thoughts as a direction, which ideologically inherited Zhu Xi’s philosophy thoughts. This section, analyzing such three neo-confucianism thoughts as "The nature of human is combined by the nature of destiny and temperament", "The morality and heart should be in accordance" and the self-cultivation method "worship" in Shujizhuanzuanshu, helps us to understand the significant role that Chen Li played in maintaining and spreading Zhu Xi’s neo-confucianism thoughts.
