The "Nationality" And "Times" Of Opera "Canal Ballad"

Opera "Canal Ballad" is China’s first original folk opera, it does not only inherit the western opera recitative, aria and ensemble structure, but also Chinese folk style singing, catering to the aesthetic needs of a large Chinese audience, with the most typical and precious national elements integrated into opera creation, becomes a great innovation in the history of Chinese national opera.This paper studies "Nationality" and "Times" in the opera "Canal Ballad" as the research objects, and includes preface, the main body of four chapters and conclusion these three parts. The preface discourses this topic research motivation, and main body of this paper discusses respectively from the following four aspects:The chapter 1 explores Chinese and western opera development context, creation background, plot and the main characters relations of opera "Canal Ballad"; In chapter 2, the author discusses "nationality" on opera "Canal Ballad" from three aspects of the music structure, music characteristic, music aesthetics; The chapter 3 discusses "times" of opera "Canal Ballad" from three aspects of the music structure, music characteristic, music aesthetics; The fourth chapter is from the author’s point of view, with China’s national opera as the background, to explore suggestions and conceptions of the national opera development for the future.
