Walking Between The Figurative And Abstract-The Inspiration Of Brown Cecily’s Works To My Personal Creation

The contemporary British female artist Cecily Brown, has become famous and one of the key figures in painting since the 90’s of last century. She studies the painting master’s painting observation and modeling methods, combined with her own characteristics, integrated the art concept and expression into her own painting works, showing the variation of concrete and abstract. Cecily Brown absorbed predecessors’s extensive experiencein into her creation, not in accordance with the technique of performance, but the injection of new energy, to be an unique personal style. This is the direction of our study. Therefore, the study of this artist and her works has the reference significance for today’s oil painting and painting creationThis paper analysed Cecily Brown’s personal circumstances, works and art philosophy, and expressed its influence on my own artistic practice. Combined with my own painting practice, to express my creative motivation through the composition, color, space art form, explains the sources of my creation. It will obtain a relatively reasonable cognitive results from combing these aspects, then it will lay a foundation for the future of my art creation and research.
