The Research Of Bi & Xing Between The Ancient Time And Medieval Time

The recovery of Bi & Xing in Tang & Song dynasty is not an event only belonging to the history of literature. This event closely related to the progress of the political poetics was a process which indicated that the literati in that period tried to find the certainty of the poetics. Also, the form of meaning in poetics in Song dynasty based on traditional " Bi & Xing " structure was mixedly influenced by the political poetics and the poetics in Tang & Song dynasty. The literati, to be exact, tried to return to ancient time. However, they cannot retrieve the "the traditional meaning of Bi & Xing" and constructed a new paradigm instead, which layed a foundation on the view of reading poetics nowadays." Bi & Xing " should be considered as a way of referring meaning and thinking which could be explored from an angle of idealogical history. Under the premise of the proper distinguishing between the " Bi & Xing " in the political poetics and the poetics, we can do a Genealogical research by differentiating the traditional " Bi & Xing " and the later " Bi & Xing ".
