Combining teaching and examination is the important revolution of new HSK related to the original HSK. The writing section is composed of 2 parts in NEW HSK-3,HSK-4,HSK-5,and Sentence construction is the only part which is not changed. Compared with other written parts, this part requires a specific answer which makes it more objective. Considering this characteristic, more students pay their attention on the sentence construction and expect to get high marks by scoring in this part.Until now the HSK is concerned mainly because of better designed of the tests.Parts of individuals are concerning about the pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar,however seldom of them are studying the strategy of HSK tests. By making research from 184 questions in sentence construction in 24 test paper, the key grammar points are stated in this essay. Besides, they are compared with The Common Grammar List from Level1 to Level6 in International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education.The key grammar points stated in this essay are used in the test paper for the students in primary stage, middle stage and senior stage in Ludong University. After their tests, the error-prone grammar points are found out by statistics and summary. Meanwhile, questionnaires and interviews are used to explore students’ true thoughts, mentality and method. Finally, the strategy for improving their exam outcome in three dimensions—teaching, learning and testing.There are five units in this essay. In the first unit, in order to let people know that more attention are paid in the gap between teaching and learning in HSK and the main topic in this essay,the current situation, significance of the subject, research source and research technique are mentioned. In second unit, more specific test points are concluded by making research in test paper. Besides, we find out related grammar points and summarize its law by compare with The Common Grammar List from Level1 to Level6 in International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education.In unit four, according to the key grammar points and error-prone points in sentence construction, give effective strategy of score improving in both the teacher and students respective.Meanwhile, make use of questionnaires and interviews to investigate students’ mentality and exam tips to replenish score improving strategy. Conclusion is stated in Unit 5.Make conclusions and instructions of shortcomings in this unit. The research illustrated in this essay is expected to give effective learning tips in improving the score of sentence construction in new HSK thus to improve their confidence in learning Chinese.
