Diffent Researches On Mo Yan And His Works Before And After He Was Awarded The Nobel Prize For Literature

As one of the most important contemporary writers in China, Mo Yan has composed a large number of literary works since he published his first novel in 1980s and has long been noticed by Chinese scholars in academic circle. Especially, he gains wide following after he became the first Chinese writer winning the Nobel Prize for Literature on October 11,2012. According to the incomplete statistics, more than 2,000 research articles are themed with Mo Yan and his works which are interpreted comprehensively in the aspects of the theme meaning, narrative characteristic, language style, stylistic feature or comparative study, etc. Nevertheless, few scholars make deepen exploration on the research of the domestic study about Mo Yan. As Mo was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, the domestic academia has raised "carnival" boom in the study of Mo Yan, which is a really different research situation compared with that before he received the Nobel Prize. However, few academics give full analysis and explanation about the changes. Therefore, taking October 11,2012 as a boundary line and using the methods of document statistics, content analysis and comparative studies, the author tends to compare and analyze the different researches in all respects before and after Mo was awarded the Noble Prize for Literature, which aims to find out the influences of this Nobel Prize on Chinese contemporary literature.This paper includes introduction,main body and conclusion three parts.The introduction includes three parts which mainly explain the research background, relevant research status and methods.The main boay discusses the changes from five different perspectives in the researches of Mo Yan before and after he won the Nobel Prize for Literature. In Chapter one, on the back of concrete data collected from the selected papers, it compares the different researches on the study of Mo Yan before and after he won the Nobel Prize. This part discusses the differences in quantity and themes of papers. In chapter two, it analyses the different studies on Mo Yan’s works and the scholars’new insights abort the texts after Mo won the Nobel Prize. In chapter three, it compares and analyses the different researches on the relations between Mo Yan’s work and domestic and abroad literature. It pointed out that many new changes have appeared in the academic circles in terms of the research towards the relations. In chapter four, it summarizes the new progresses which were made in studies about the translation and the reception of his works before and after he won the Nobel Prize. In chapter five,it further explores the influences of Nobel Prize on Mo Yan and domestic academic circle in a broader and deeper perspective.The conclusion reaffirms the huge influences on contemporary academia and literature made by the fact that Mo Yan was rewarded the Nobel Prize for Literature based on the above researches.
