The Study Of Xuande’s Children Novel Before Liberation

Xuan De is one of the modern writers who actively creating in two fields including novels and fairy tales at the end of the 1930 years. The children’s literature considers class doctrine as the mainstream at that time. Xuan De casts off the mainstream, launched the creation in the new field of the realism fairy tales. His creation does not focus on the lesson doctrine, but on the children’s psychology and action, his creations is full with the realism of the innocence ambition.In this research, through deep analysis of fairy tales by Xuan De, juvenile novel "The Waking of Insects", "Grass Tortoise", "The Toad Ate The Money", "Three Rabbit Brothers", "Cat", "Small Electric car", "Cat and Mouse", "Women’s shoes", etc. which published in the newspaper and megazines from 1938 to 1940. Reanalysis of Xuan De’s will to observing reality and reproducing reality through the young hero was made in this paper.Xuan De use writer’s experience as the source material, and through the works, vividly represented the reality of poverty and life at the bottom of the civilians. Since he started his literary carrer, Xuan De received the attention of the literary world. Not only so, also received attention by future generations of researchers on history of literature.In this research, in order to analyze characteristics of his creation, this paper will be divided into two aspects-contents and forms-to analyzing the text. In terms of contents, will be divided into children’s ambition through creative play, innocence ambition embodied in "being child", the reality of the times embodied in innocence and so on three aspects to analysis. In terms of forms, starting form structure of repeated performance, open type ending and the structure of regression, exposed children’s innocent world. From this, analysis how writer reflected the socioal situation at that time in the literary works.Xuan De’s works were point at naive children and realistic problems around them. In his text, roughly shows children had to refuse their wishes because of poor, and shows children’s psychology through this experiences. However, the contradiction between rich and poor are also disappeared by naive of the children’s world. Also, although the works shows the reality of the contradiction between rich and poor, still described through children’s angle. At that time, writers can’t critique the reality of the times head-on, so Xuan De reflected the reality in his own way. Xuan De stride across three fieldsm, i.e. fairy tales, children’s novels, novels to show a variety of children’s world and pursuit aesthetic freedom.At last, if want to systematically analysis the fairy tales, should overall researching Xuan De’s novels, children’s novels, essay and works after move to north. But to my regret, lack of research on this kind of work.
