As a narrative art, novel has its geographic property. On the basis of it, the paper conceives the notion of literary map, which is the comprehensive narrative space shaped by geographic space in the form of point, line and surface. In the comprehensive narrative space, we should probe relationships of mutual restraint between geographic space and narrative. The depiction of narrative space and the narrative of space are two of the most important tasks in the study of fiction map. From the the theoretical perspective of novel map, we should utilize "three—origin" theory of "original map restoration", "original scene restoration" and "spiritual origin exploration" for the construction of the whole narrative space and analysis of the texture of space narrative. From the perspective of "novel map", the paper, combining novels, notes and historical materials of the Tang Dynasty, tries to construct narrative map in the novel of Tang Dynasty, including Changan, Luoyang and the avenue connecting them. The first and second chapter is to select city scenes and discuss their narrative meaning, such as the palace Building"Qinzhenglou", residence communities called Fangli, the streets and gates.Especially the avenue connecting Changan and Luoyang, the paper highlights its narrative types and node"post house". From the starting point and basic prerequisite of cultural circle, the third chapter is to explore interactive transformation from Changan to Luoyang in Political and cultural status, and mutual differences in aesthetic space, The last chapter is designed for summarizing the decay of cultural circle including Changan and Luoyang from a anachronistic perspective, and briefly explain the significance of the cultural circle in the nation and the world.
