A Preliminary Study On Professor Xiu-fang Ju’s National Vocal Music Art

Just as "a sweeping ebb tide", the development of Chinese national vocal music art is overwhelming. In the long history of China, Chinese national vocal music art, absorbing nutrients, condensing the national spirit and wisdom of the predecessors, has developed into art forms with national characteristics. Xiu-fang Ju is the typical one, who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of Chinese national vocal music art.This thesis makes a comprehensive analysis and research on Professor Xiu-fang Ju’s vocal music art characteristics, her outstanding contributions to China’s national vocal music art, vocal music art achievements, and the cause of the achievements etc. With her tidy and adaptation of the folk song, she has received recognition at home and abroad, not only in singing but also in the composer’s creation thought and the source of materials.Based on the reference of literature research, and example analysis, classroom experience research and other research methods, a comprehensive analysis and summary has been made on Professor Xiu-fang Ju’s national vocal music art. This article further clarifies her vision of the future development of national vocal music art. Based on the national foundations, using references from western vocal skills at the same time, she keeps the styles and characteristics of Chinese folk songs. Her teaching concept and the stage for the development of Chinese national vocal music art practice provides scientific theory support and rich experience in practice.
