| It is considered that the spatial metaphor is one of the most significant of all metaphors in the f ield of cognitive linguistics.That is why this concept is expressed and understood through metap hors. The study of this thesis is based on former research,own viewpoints and also the cognition method on linguistics.From the diachronic viewpoint,this thesis shows and contrast the Chinese word of space dimension which is "chang/duan" to ((?))in Russian.The study s done within the semantic scope and/on that basis, also investigating the difference and the asym metry between these two languages.To be said, the two languages present similarities and differences due to various cultural backg rounds,different language types and cognition pattern.This thesis shows 5 different chapters:1st chapter is an introduction and a brief review of the research,its significance and methods.The second chapter is "long/short" meaning space dimension two languages Semantic contra st. Mainly on the Chinese "long/short" and Russian (?) conduct semantic co ntrast Metaphor.The third chapter is syntactic contrast. Focus on the metaphorical meaning of the similarities a nd differences of the two languages.Chapter IV discusses the "long/short" Pragmatic contrast. Specifically discussed between the two sentences class distribution, frequency of use and withholding colors.Finally, the epilogue. |
