The purpose of this study is to explore the gender differences in brain function models in the process of verbal information and spatial information. This paper selects the 28 subjects (14 males,14 females) participated in the experiment, male and female subjects underwent two experiments:First, by presenting three different types of reading materials to the male and female subjects, simple reading(declarative sentence reading material), poem reading (poetry reading materials) literature creation (create artistic language according to the cue word) compare the differences in brain activation when male college students and female college students in the processing of verbal information; Then, through the three-dimensional mental rotation test (representing the ability of mental rotation) and Embedded Figures Test (representing the visual spatial ability) to explore the brain activation characteristics of male college students and female college students in processing spatial information.Comprehensive the brain activation patterns of three kinds of verbal information processing and it was found that the temporal lobe was the key brain region for the processing and creation of artistic works. Women are more adept at using temporal lobe resources for verbal processing than men, which may have a close correlation with their common linguistic advantage in behavioral testing.Comprehensive the brain activation patterns of two kinds of spatial information processing, and the main findings were as following:male and female subjects’ performance support the application of the integrate-analysis combined strategy of the integration strategy. At the same time, women were significantly higher than men on a difficult three-dimensional mental rotation task, suggesting that they needed a greater degree of brain resources to do the same task.Comprehensive subjects in two space missions of the brain activation patterns and them in front of the three verbal tasks of brain activation patterns, found that subjects of the task space brain activation pattern and verbal brain activation patterns present high similarity, in general are showing the left and the right brain balanced activation patterns. Previous literature suggests that relatively speaking, verbal processing more rely on the left-hemisphere of the brain to do the analysis strategy, and spatial processing relies more on the integrated strategy of the right-hemisphere. The current research results and previous studies of inconsistent reason one may lie in this study is less, it is detrimental to the discovery of the existence of small effect size; another reason may because of the study subjects were for Chinese subjects, influenced by Chinese culture and education background, thus forming integration analysis combined with unique information processing model. Some studies with Chinese subjects have shown the same results.
