This paper discuss folk beliefs from the perspective of culture, and the folk belief is regarded as a kind of cultural Inheritance, the traditional maintenance, trying to find the life values and values contained in the daily life and religious practice of Bai nationality villagers through folk beliefs, and deep the understanding of the traditional culture of the Bai nationality in the village. The study found folk beliefs of the Bai in YangHe village, Dali permeated with the blessing misfortunes cultural psychological complex, which advocates actively joining the secular view that reflect all aspects of the villagers’lifestyle, seasonal festivals, customs, and ritual life. The worship of folk beliefs from ceremony moderator and villagers, is ablated in the secular life centered on family blood, following the moral and ethical norms extracted from real life. Its specific performance is a kind of earthly happiness expectations and hope. It is simply for practical and utilitarian interest demands, aimed at enhancing the confidence of secular life. On this basis, this paper focuses on such a theory as" Chasing secular Happiness", to discuss how the pursuit of secular Happiness of the villagers in ritual life is embodied from three levels of praying, removing misfortunes, and ancestor worship.
