Writing teaching has been found difficult in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, especially on practical writing which is not only difficult to learn but also is to teach. In recent years, task-based learning has gained more attentions from education researchers. People gradually realized the advantage of the method. Task-based learning method emphasizes the student-centered. Make students active participate in learning process; let students complete the task in the real and effective ways of presenting their works. To improve the efficiency of writing teaching, and students’ ability to use Chinese in writing, this paper based on the concept of the task-based learning method in teaching Chinese as a foreign language writing. The teaching design based on the practical application and investigation to show that task-based learning method is suitable for teaching the practical writing.This article is divided into four parts. The first part, through the form of questionnaire and interview, respectively from the ways of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning, and the use of resources do the teaching of writing Chinese as a foreign language. The author have been investigated and analyze the problems and the difficulties that a teacher has faced during teaching the practical writing Chinese. The second part, based on the characteristics of the task-based teaching method and writing. concentrate on the teaching design theory basis, content arrangement, teaching strategies and steps, etc. The third part, at school, when the author write or design a detail teaching plan, have to implement, the basis of the concept of the task-based learning method, according to teaching targets, principles and contents, etc., design a specific teaching plan. The fourth part, based on this design practical teaching, the teaching plans, through interviews, surveys and other forms of teaching effect, thus, task-based teaching method compared with some traditional teaching method, on the practical writing has many advantages, can change the dull learning environment becomes, a lively classroom environment, changes the passive mode into the active mode of writing. Through the study of this article, the author expect to provide some hints for teaching writing for Chinese as foreign language and improve teachers to teach the writing better.
