Music Description And Deductive Research Of Prokofiev Violin Sonata In D Major

The paper, as a coalition of the author’s playing experience and specialist’s lectures, based on the analysis of Prokofiev’s Violin Sonata in D Major, op.94b, is an original research paper. There are mainly three chapters. The first chapter introduces the Russian music in the twentieth century and the integrated composition style of Prokofiev. By the induction to the Russian music in the twentieth century, performers will have a clear understanding of the composition era for Prokofiev, and then the personal composition style of Prokofiev is briefly introduced. The second chapter will go through the logic of this masterpiece, which will be analyzed from the author’s point ofview, and then the author will tease the two core musical language "tradition" and "creativity", which will make the player have a correct theoretical concept to the whole work. The third chapter will illustrate on the performance research of the Sonata comprehensively and systematically, and studies and analyzes the aspects of the Sonata, such as the recommendation of the record, how to perform this Sonata and its musical languages, the discussion of the considerations during the performance of the Sonata, and main points of piano and violin, which will provide the specific reference for the performers when they perform the Sonata.
