Currently, China is strengthening its Deep Sea Strategy, bringing great market demand for oil and gas development and marine engineering equipment However, English translation of Marine engineering, as an indispensable part of this process, is a vital means of introducing foreign advanced technology. In this thesis, the author takes "Marine Risk Assessment" text as translation material, the skopos theory as its theoretical basis. Through discussing and analyzing the translation from aspects of world and language transformation and combining the skopos theory, the author aims to find corresponding solution, thus providing a reference for other practitioners. This thesis is mainly divided into four parts. The first part is task description which mainly introduces the background, structure and significance of the research. The second part is concerned with the analysis of task process, including preparation before translation, translation process and proof reading.
