This research first conducts a pre-test on the experimental class and control class respectively with "The Communicative Capability Scale of 4-6 Years Old Children" and the results are compared. Then by using 8 picture books with a theme in peer communication, the peer communication in the experimental class is interfered on purpose according to a schedule, via 4 forms of activity, namely, books corner, drift book case, group teaching and daily extension activities. After four-month ever-progressing activities, a post-test is conducted with "The Communicative Capability Scale of 4-6 Years Old Children" again on the experimental class and control class, and the development in these 2 classes is compared. The conclusions are:1) There is no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results of the control class; 2) There is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results of the experimental class, but there is no significant difference in their communicative difficulties; 3) In the post-test, the scores of peer communication capability in the experimental class are much higher than those in the control class and the progress is significant. That shows that the series of activities in reading picture books with a communicative theme plays a positive role in improving children’s peer communicative capability.
