Patrick Modiano is a Famous French contemporary writer and the representative writer of the French New fable. In 1966, he wrote his first novel. All form a mysterious and dim writing style, while Patrick Modiano tries to reflect human destinies, life-world of the occupation, and author’s deep thought of his own time.This thesis is based on a close reading of the text, comprehensive biography, and Benjamin’s philosophy and aesthetics, tries to analyze Patrick Modiano’s works’ "phosphorescence phenomenon", and, finally, comes to the conclusion of the creation of the literary significance. This paper consists of introduction, text, and conclusion. The introduction part is mainly of Patrick Modiano’s life, his creative work, the research at home and abroad, and the concept of "phosphorescence phenomenon" Finally, the significance of the topic of this paper was presented. The text is divided into three chapters, respectively on "phosphorescence phenomenon", concrete manifestation, cause of formation, and the implicit meaning.The second chapter of the paper research is the embodiment of "phosphorescence phenomenon" from the Modiano of phosphor elements, phosphor plot setting, and phosphor time and space construction.
