An Analysis Of Stative Adjectives Of Xiang Dialect

This paper takes stative adjective of Xiang dialects as the object of investigation.On the basis of investigation,according to the relevant literatures,we has a comprehensive analysis and description on stative adjective of xiang dialects.Under investigation, we find some of the them have great difference of internal in xiang dialects and external difference with other dialects. So we gives the classifiable explanation according to the structure of stative adjective.The paper is divided into seven parts.The first part we study on the structure of "AA"type..Almost all the monosyllabic adjectives can constitute "A",but need add the corresponding endings, like "zi",si.jia gong liji,jiaji,lijiaji,gu,gong,deji,er and so on.many dialects endings are very unique,such as changsha dialects ending of zi.shaoyang liji,yiyang.The secongd part we study on "XA"type.There is a large amount in xiang dialects. "A" Express subjective feelings."XA" used to describe less people and mostly describe things, we investigated 167 common monosyllabic adjectives of xiang dialects,43"A"can not form "XA",because they confined by its semantic conditions.TheA" of XA" not only express a high degree but also has the function of word formation,so we think of it as a special stative adjective ending.The third part study on "AX"It Rarely appear in Mandarin,but there are large number in xiang dialects.From the view of structure, "AX" in "A" and "XA" type "A" in the same range, the nature of "X" is the same. But "AX" type of is require more strict with the endings. The dialect of "AX" type must be added to the corresponding suffix to use.The forth part we study on "AXX" type of Xiang dialects. In number, there is a big difference with Mandarin. Requirements of "AXX" type of Xiang dialects are more stringent, the dialect of "AXX" must take the suffix can be used, for example Changsha dialect to "Da", to "Hengyang dialect", Yiyang, Shaoyang, Loudi, Xinhua dialect must add "li".The fifth part we give "XA", "AX", "AXX" type a comparison. These three forms have a scale of outstanding, of which "XA" is focused on the scale, "AX" and "AXX" have many words of scale.The distribution in the new and old Xiang dialects also has the difference,the three types of new Xiang dialects are more than that in the old Xiang dialects, with "XA" type is the most outstanding, this number also makes the old Xiang dialect has its unique three forms,compared with Mandarin, there are scale and vitality of the table between the two opposites.The sixth we research other forms. The stative adjective structure of Xiang dialects also includes "AABB" type, "AACC’type, "A AB"type, "XA" A "type,"FA BA A "type," FA bu A "type, AXX (B)type, "A si ba ren "type.Through the above six parts, this paper expatiated Xiang dialects state adjectives structure words and grammatical function, compares the internal difference between new and old Xiang dialects. In addition, this paper also compares the related form with Mandarin and other dialects, found Xiang dialects state adjectives have prominent characteristic scale.
