Study On Folk Music And Habitat Of Adaptation Tujia Race In Sangzhi

Sangzhi Folk music is one of the most important parts of the culture in Tujia Race. It demosntrates the life of the people from Sangzhi Tujia Race. It was considered as “the living fossil” of Tujia Race culture. Sangzhi folk music is rooted in the Traditional culture of Tujia Race, and it was expessed in the form of music. It is not only a media of culture diffusion and inheritance, but also important tool to gather people together with culture. Base on the foundation of other similar research, the paper studies the existence, development of the Sangzhi Tujia folk music by researching the folk music in Wudaoshui Town Sangzhi, and it also investigates the influence of the outside environment to the development of this folk music.It is imortant to understand the historical and musical feature while studying this topic. As a speical kind of music, Sangzhi Tujia Folk music has gone through the following five stages of emergence, development, the prosperous, expansion and creation. It is rich in form and content. This paper will discuss five style of Songzhi Tujia folk music, such as field folk music, labor folk music, livelihood folk music,cutom folk music, and Huadeng. It shows strong local racial feature in its style,formation, content, music struture, melody organization, rhythm variety and so on.Every kind of folk music always has clear connection with the local culture.Sangzhi folk music provides great impact in the emergence and development of the racial culture. This folk music is a significant tool to display the culture of Tujia Race.It was influenced by the geographic feature climate, cuture ecology and other local foctors. The conncetion between them could be noticed from the aria, rhythm, music structure, lyrics, raical charactors and so on. The local living environment has affected the folk music greatly. Then, the Sangzhi Folk music demonstrates the history of Tujia Race, its living style, racial customs and so on. Based on the above connection, this paper concluds that, the protection of the local racial culture would support the inheritance and development of the Sangzhi Tujia Folk music.
