Tujia folk music cultural history in Chinese Civilization is not only an important part of Chinese music history,but also a significant representative of the history of Chinese ethnic minority music.Exploring and writing Tujia folk music cultural history in Chinese Civilization has great academic significance and historical value,which would be improving the theoretical discourse system of Chinese music history,inheriting Tujia folk music culture,developing the excellent traditions of Tujia folk music culture,and filling in the lack of research in Chinese ethnic minority music.Furthermore,that will also present the achievements and charm of Tujia folk music culture to the world,and provide the research experience of Chinese ethnic minority music to the world.Based on the research perspective of Chinese ethnic minority music,this dissertation will take Tujia folk music cultural history in Chinese Civilization as the research object,and collects the relevant documents materials,such as historical records,local chronicles,literati notes,domestic and foreign academic achievements.In this research,it will analyze the first hand materials obtained by the field research,such as manuscript genealogy,audiovisual graphs and oral historical materials;and survey materials such as unearthed artifacts from archaeological excavations and the varies art forms of “Sing,Music,Dance and Drama"that remaining exist.On one hand,this research is guided by Marx's dialectical historical materialism.On the other hand,it combines theory and practice,and unifies the methods of history and logic.At the same time,the argument is based on the history writing principles of focusing on historical data,combining historical data with discourse,and discourse derived from historical data.Bases on these materials,his research uses the achievements of linguistics,ethnology and sociology,the research methods of history,musicology,folklore,human geography and cultural anthropology.It emphasizes not only the connection of historical documents and field research,but also the combination of historical vertical background and horizontal background.From the perspective of national interests,as great practical significance to carry out General Secretary Xi Jinping on "excellent traditional Chinese culture" and "ethnic work" since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it also constructs the folk music in Tujia area from the overall,macro,organic and dynamic aspects.This dissertation is composed by eight parts: introduction,six chapters twenty-one sections,and the conclusion.The introduction part describes the core concepts of this dissertation,the reasons for the topic selection,method ideas and innovation points.It introduces the basic status of Tujia folk music cultural research,and discusses the academic significance and practical value of Tujia folk music cultural history research;Chapter 1,"The origin of Tujia folk culture",based on the description of the geographical environment and Tujia unearthed cultural relics,combined with historical documents,field survey data,cultural soil and constituent elements,analyzed Tujia folk custom Origin,ethnic origin and characteristics of economic life;Chapter 2,“The origin of Tujia folk music culture”,describes the influence of the county system and Taoism.And,it explains many ancient musical instruments that have been unearthed in the Tujia area,such as “Hu Niu Chun Yu”,“Bian Zhong”,“Tong Zheng”,“Duo” and “Shi Qin”,etc..It uses the way of dimensions of historical data screening,field investigation and evidence collection.It analyzes the remaining live styles such as “Chuang Shi Song”,“Ti Ma Song”,“Ba Bao Tong Bell Dance”,and historical “Ba Yu Dance”;Chapter3," The birth of Tujia folk music culture ".It focuses on the influence of restraint policy and Buddhism,analyzes the hand-waving singing and dancing,“Mao Gu Si” dance,funeral drum dancing in the field of folk music activities.And studies the "Zhu Zhi Song" which influences the literature since the Tang Dynasty from the vertical and horizontal dimensions of history;Chapter 4," The development of Tujia folk music culture".It describes the development of the “Tu Si” system,the birth and development in the history of the “Nuo Tang Opera”,“Yang Opera”,“Nan Opera”,“Liu Zi Opera” and other operas that are still remain in folklore activities;Chapter 5,"The Transformation of Tujia Folklore Music ",expounds the pluralistic political ecology,and studies the dialectical relationship between the pluralistic political ecology and traditional ballads,folk songs,opera and art form,opera art and traditional instrumental music and other folklore music,and the dialectical relationship among them;Chapter 6,"The renaissance of Tujia Folk Music".It explains the new ethnic policy brought about the work style of Tujia society,the inheritance and innovation of the folk music style,inheritance group,transmission routes and other innovative performance in the region,and the path and way after the establishment of Tujia;The concluding part reviews and summarizes Tujia folk music culture's succession,inclusiveness,relevance.In other words,vertically it is based on regional "autonomy",the concept of "unity" and the influence of shaman culture,and the exchanges between ethnic groups,horizontally it studies the changes in the communication and integration of ethnic groups,and the formation and development of communities.In general,this dissertation is a systematic study of the development and evolution of Tujia folk music cultural from innovative aspects such as the exploration and development of historical materials,and the connection and mutual verification of fields.In this dissertation,Tujia folk music cultural is one of the main carriers for cultivating Tujia people's folklore identity and the consciousness of the Chinese nation's community.The process of folk culture's creative transformation and innovative development has contributed to its own unique development paradigm and survival pattern in the communication and integration with other ethnic groups.Tujia folk music cultural history is an overall and systematic research and summary of recorded historical materials about “Sing,Music,Dance and Drama" of Tujia folk music in stages,integrity and coherence.
