Folk Museum Interactive Mock-ups Display System“hanika Paradise ”

Traditional museum has disadvantages in exhibits in the dissemination of information. In the main of presence it conveys to the audience just bits and pieces of information, there is no systematic lack of global view. In the wave of technological change in the application of new technology will bring a strong impetus to the development of folk museum s of our country. The research topic about this paper, Folk Museum mock-ups interactive display system, has great significance and market potenti al in Chinese folk museum prospect of development.Hanika, well-known paper dolls popular in Daur ethnic families in China,was listed as regional intangible cultural heritage in 2007. In this paper we introduce a framework about an interactive mock-ups display system named “Hanika-Paradise”. By combining tales with paper dolls art the system provide a fantasy paper space which consider as a tangible user interface by mixed-reality technology. Visitors are able to move characters( paper dolls)to certain scene in the space then get feedback information like sound, light, video, etc. based on the use of digital signal processor in the system. Visitors are allowed to develop the plot through system boot or explore the unknowing information by their freewill. Three aspects about this paper are included as follows: Firstly, interaction modes of mock-ups display. Secondly, interactive story telling and cultural experience. Thirdly, derivatives and exhibition ecology.The project is focusing on the issue of integrating innovation of display system and derivative products. The paper dolls are not just apart of the interaction model display system but also an souvenir that visitors can bring it home.
