Research On Changes Of Folk Blue Calico In Shandong In The Process Of Urbanization

The blue calico, with natural bluegrass as the dye, matched with printing and dyeing of hollow flower, is plain and simple, closely related to the daily life of people in the past, which was once much popular in the vast villages and towns in China. It is a practical product popular in the civil society, and the materialized forms of the simple aesthetic style of the Chinese people. In the implication of blue and white,diversified patterns and rich flavors of local culture are important pictures for the research on Chinese traditional folk handicraft and cultural life. The dyeing method of“blue and white” was once popular in folk regions in Shandong. In recent years, with the country’s increasing attention to the protection of traditional culture, the academic research papers on the traditional handicraft and the industrial development are common. Today with rapid process of urbanization, the cultural survival soil for the traditional handcraft blue calico is fast disappearing, and its role as necessities of life has increasingly become insignificant. The research on the changing process of modern blue calico industry is the transformation process that blue calico products are re-integrated into the modern life. However, in terms of the case study, the current researches on the theory of blue calico have obvious regional factors, most of which focus on Nantong area and other southwest minority regions. In addition, most of researches focus on process level such as traditional blue dying color, process and patterns, seldom involving the further research on the development law of the whole regional industry and the change process. In recent ten years, there are few theoretical researches on the theory of blue calico within Shandong, which can be considered as in the blank stage. Thus, this paper focuses on the blue calico in Shandong, and carries out induction and analysis of the change process of blue calico in Shandong in the process of urbanization with the research perspective of the art as the breakthrough point, integrating multi-discipline research methods and theories including sociology, economics and culture, through the method combining practical investigation and theoretical research.In this paper, the research on changes of blue calico in Shandong is mainlydivided into three parts-research on changes of blue calico artists, research on changes of blue calico products, and research on production and management mode of blue calico, with the purpose of studying the transformation process of blue calico in Shandong and its industry, thus to grasp the general development logic and rules. On the one hand, it can fill the gap in the theoretical research on blue calico in Shandong.On the other hand, the theoretical research at the macro level can avoid the respective development of ideas, and clarify the restrictions and transformation opportunities of industrial development of blue calico in Shandong, thus to plan out the new strategy for the development of culture industry that can assist with local economic development.
