Study On The Extraction And Reconstruction Of Shaoyang Blue Calico Floral Graphic Elements

Shaoyang blue calico is a vital part of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Hu Xiang District.Known as the history of painting on the fabric,it describes the historical process of ancient civilization in plentiful graphic form.And it is also an important window for the world to understand the cultural traditions of Hu Xiang and to study the origins of folk culture.Based on the existing reference and combined with multidisciplinary knowledge,the paper is accomplished through the field investigation,image analysis,comparative analysis and other research methods.In order to inherit and carry forward the academic thought of Chinese traditional culture,the author makes the extraction of artistic elements of the Shaoyang blue calico,and studies the implementation of the pattern reconstruction on which takes the contemporary design concept as the theoretical basis to explore its important role in contemporary design filed.There are there parts of the paper.The first part presents a relatively comprehensive historic evolution of Shaoyang blue calico.Taken the cultural and artistic characteristics and the the case study of Shaoyang blue calico floral pattern elementsas the starting points,the second part is about to do an general study of the Shaoyang blue calico and take a further step in analyzing the aesthetic and the characteristic of the local people by comparing the features of blues calico with other religions on the same time,actively exploring its aesthetic value and personality characteristics in local characteristics.With a purpose of providing actual technique supports for the inheritance and development of Shaoyang blue calico and of providing a typical example for other Intangible Cultural Heritage,of the third part,this paper hopes to create a relatively complete graphic analyzing system by full studies its flower materials,shapes,and patterns.At last,exploring its inspiration in modern design.The paper reveals the calico which takes the innovative design of public service as the starting point.So that its aesthetic value of the traditional pattern can unified with the application function of modern design.By deconstructing the culture meaning of Shaoyang blue calico and strengthening the sense of identity and belonging of our great nation,the author believes that the culture industry will be pushed forward when traditional handcraft and modern art combine together,which will surely inspire peopleto think,study,and protect our non-material culture heritage,such as the blue calico.Finally,they will promote the development of Hunan's regional economy.
